As the leading microlight school in the North West, this location is easily accessible from Manchester. Formerly known as Manchester City Airport, Barton Aerodrome was purpose-built in the late 1920s and is one of the largest General Aviation airports in the country. Despite its past of serving scheduled flights, it now focuses primarily on microlights and other light aircraft. While riding in the microlight with Mark, you'll get to witness remnants of Barton's history in the Grade II listed control tower, terminal building, and hangar. During your Microlighting adventure at the city airport, you'll be in the hands of this highly skilled pilot. Along with taking in the stunning views of Eccles, Trafford Park, and the vibrant lights of Manchester from the air, your microlight flight will also serve as your very first pilot lesson. This unique experience offers you the chance to take the controls and steer the microlight instead of merely being a passenger.
