Located in the 1400-acre Coniston Estate near the charming town of Skipton, the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) has recognised this premier venue for its exceptional tuition and facilities. This outdoor activity is perfect for those near West Yorkshire who seek an exhilarating experience in the picturesque countryside. The venue provides a range of shooting disciplines, allowing participants to simulate high birds, rabbits, and springing teal through various traps. Each session, lasting approximately one and a half hours, begins with a thorough safety briefing to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for all participants. Expert instructors from the Yorkshire shooting school will impart the skills necessary to excel in clay pigeon shooting. For individual bookings, lessons are tailored for one-on-one instruction, while group sessions accommodate up to five people. Regardless of group size, each participant is guaranteed at least 30 clay pigeons to shoot at. Participants can refine their aim with different types of clays and even attempt advanced game-shooting techniques using an oscillating trap to mimic the flight of grouse and partridge. For those seeking a challenge, the venue's 86ft tower houses several traps for aerial targets. What sets this clay pigeon shooting experience apart is its relaxed pace. A brief interval halfway through the lesson allows participants to receive feedback from instructors and recharge before returning to the firing range.
