About the experience
This is a great opportunity to learn how to drive a 4x4 like a farmer in Dumfries. You can head down to a working farm in the Lowlands of Scotland where you'll get the chance to test your skills. What's even better is that you might also get to help out with some of the daily farming tasks while you're driving. The farm is located just outside Lockerbie and is owned by the sixth generation of the Steel family. They offer holidays, activities, and experiences and serve really good beef and lamb, proving that you can successfully run a farm, host activities and welcome holidaymakers. As you drive around on the private roads, tracks, and trails of this Lockerbie estate, you'll get an insight into the workings of the farm. You'll be able to tackle some tricky terrain as you go through a mixture of instruction, demos and driving. You'll also learn the angle of approach for hills, test your mettle in the gullies and ditches, splash through the fords and splatter through the mud. It's a great experience that you'll surely enjoy. An expert 4x4 driver will be by your side at all times, showing you how to get the very best out of the Landy. They will teach you when to use four-wheel drive and when to make use of a low ratio. All sessions are geared towards you and what you're most interested in trying. Of course, everything will be within your comfort zone.

- Spectators are welcome although due to the nature of this experience viewing is limited.
- Minimum age of 12
- Under 18's must be accompanied by one free spectating adult
- Guest passengers may ride in the back of the vehicle for an additional charge of £5 per person, subject to space

- Sessions generally operate on Wednesdays and Fridays
