All flights are weather dependent and therefore subject to suitable flying conditions. It is essential to call the centre on the morning of your flight to check it will be going ahead. If a flight has to be cancelled it will be rebooked for an alternative date.

The Brief

This package makes for one incredible day. First is a hands-on flying lesson in the Tiger Moth, after which you will be able to get behind the wheel of an armoured military vehicle. Itinerary

Your day begins at 10am and will include the following:

  • Tea and Biscuits in the Control Tower
  • Entry to all areas of the Imperial War Museum for the participant
  • Hands-on flying lesson in an open cockpit Tiger Moth, complete with loan of flying jacket, helmet and goggles
  • Professional photo taken beside your aircraft
  • Driving lesson in an armoured military vehicle
  • Flight over Cambridge in the Dragon Rapide
  • Guided tour of some of Duxford's private aircraft collection
  • Buffet lunch in the Pilots Briefing Room
  • 'Log Book' flight certificate and celebratory glass of champagne.
  • Your day will end at around 3.30pm.
