Flights are not included in the price but can be arranged for you. Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
The cold temperatures and handling the dogs can be tiring so you need to be fit and prepared for this in order to enjoy the trip. Getting advice from your GP on your suitability for the trip is recommended.

The Brief

What better way to take in the beautiful and unspoiled frozen landscapes of Sweden than a dog sledding trip!
You'll become a member of a team and will receive expert training on how to handle your Huskies to navigate you across the snow-filled plains of Lapland.
As well as witnessing some of the Worlds most breath-taking scenery you may even be lucky enough to spot some local wildlife and even a glimpse of the Northern Lights

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Depart
    Fly from the UK to Stockholm onto Kiruna where you will be greeted and taken to your accommodation at the Ice Hotel in Mushers Lodge. You will be briefed on all aspects of the trip and issued your equipment/ clothing. You will then be left to enjoy the rest of your evening and prepare for the rest of the trip. A nice hot tub awaits!
  • Day 2 - Tobacco Trail
    This will be the first stage of your trip. you will learn sled for the first time and follow a 30km trail to your next stop - The Jakalajarvi Cabin
  • Day 3 - Soppero
    This part of the trip is slightly longer and more demanding. You will venture across ice lakes and through forests until you arrive at your evening rest point. The historic lodge you will stay at dates back as far as the Sámi period
  • Day 4 - Back to Jakalajarvi
    This time your trip takes you through reindeer country. The Huskies love to chase them so you'll have to take extra care!
  • Day 5 - Jakalajarvi to Vakkara
    A trip to the Vakkara Wilderness Lodge where sledding across the Plateau allows you to overlook the amazing Forests below. On arrival you are rewarded with a hot sauna
  • Day 6 - The final furlong
    Your final day of sledding where you will head back to the Ice Hotel for dinner, drinks and one more dip in that hot tub to reflect on your trip
  • Journey Home
    Relax at the Hotel or see the sights of Kiruna until you transfer to the Airport for your journey back to the UK
