PADI Open Water Course

The courses run all year round
Minimum age is 15 (10 for the Junior Course). Students must be able to swim 200 metres and tread water. You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire upon arrival, if you answer yes to any questions on the Medical form you must see a doctor prior to starting the course.
Up to a maximum of 8 students will be in a group. Most centres will allow spectators
The pool sessions are not weather dependant, but the Open Dives are subject to suitable conditions. Your centre will arrange an appropriate time for these to take place

Scuba Diving is a journey into a weightless world, home to beautiful corals, reefs and a vast array of marine life.
The PADI Open Water Diving Certificate is a globally recognised qualification, and once you have passed the course you can hire equipment and dive up to the recommended 18 metres anywhere in the World. Our Oceans and Seas are the most unexplored habitats known to man, and no 2 dives will ever be the same
The course is structured to ensure all that pass are competent and safe divers
The course begins with knowledge development sessions covering diving theory and pool practice in preparation for you to become an independent diver
Finally you will be assessed in four Ocean/ Lake dives with your instructor where you are required to demonstrate the practical skills in order to qualify for the PADI Open Water Diver Certificate
All equipment, course material and tuition is included. You are required to bring with you a swim suit and towel
The course lasts approx. 30 hours split into a number of shorter sessions
